Tyler Tankersley is our Conservation Technician for the Delta Conservation District. He will be assisting landowners throughout Delta, Alger, Marquette, Schoolcraft, Dickinson and Menominee counties with the various Farm Bill programs and helping with District activities. Previously, he worked for the Branch Conservation District in Coldwater as the Farm Bill Biologist. In this position he covered the Upper Headwaters of the St. Joe River Watershed as part of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) for the St. Joe River. He worked with landowners to establish and maintain grassland habitat, benefiting wildlife, water and soil quality. He also provided on the ground support for the Hunting Access Program and the Michigan Pheasant Restoration Initiative. Tyler is experienced in the restoration and maintenance of various kinds of habitats and wildlife management and he looks forward to using his experience to help landowners throughout the Upper Peninsula.
